Global Screener
Ingresos crecientes y constantes.
Márgenes crecientes o estables.
Beneficio neto creciente y constante.

English Version
I must confess that this chapter was not planned in my guide, but as many of you know, TIKR is going to be paid from January 2022 and I have received almost a hundred emails and private messages on Twitter asking me if it is worth subscribing. My answer is a resounding YES. It is the tool I use for almost everything and I think it is very useful to share my experience with everyone, since as you have been able to see I use it in all my analysis.
I have tried to write this post as fast as possible because if you subscribe before January 1st you will have a 50% discount for life.
What is TIKR?
Tikr is the ultimate application for any investor. It has so many tools that we could perfectly perform our analysis without leaving it. As you know I like to simplify investing as much as possible. The same thing happens with the analysis, I like to be able to do it without having to search in hundreds of different sites.
Here we can find everything: Historical financial data, quotes, news, call transcripts, screeners, future estimates, official documents of companies (10k, proxy, 10q ...), valuations ... and the good thing is that as they grow they incorporate new features that improve the experience.
Let's see everything in detail to have the most complete experience possible.
Market Overview
The first thing we find is a general summary of the markets, the main indexes, most active companies and some news highlights of the day. Useful if you want to be aware of the main news around us.
Idea Generation
A super useful tool to generate investment ideas with the possibility of accessing the portfolios of the world's leading investors and with the most powerful screener I have used to date. In addition to this you have the option to save everything in "My watchlists".
Track Investing gurus
You can select investment portfolios of managers rated by 4 different criteria: GARP (growth at reasonable price), value, aggressive growth, others...
If the manager/fund/investor you are looking for does not appear in any of these columns, you also have the option to search for it individually in the search investing gurus search engine... To continue with the example, let's look at the Berkshire Hathaway portfolio.
As we can see here is the Berkshire portfolio with many details such as the weight of each company in the portfolio, number of shares, percentage of total shares of the company, date of publication ... If any of the shares we are interested in having it in the watchlist, we just have to click on it and click on the heart that appears next to its name.
We will immediately have it saved in our Watchlist (below everything) with different options such as news, events, transcripts...
Global Screener
As I mentioned a few paragraphs above. TIKR's screener is the most powerful one I have used to date. It is best for each person to do their own research, as everyone will have very simple criteria when searching for companies. Anyway, I will make a brief introduction to help you to facilitate its use.
Now, what filters should we use? Well honestly, I think I am not the best example, since I just use five, so it is something very customizable. In my case it would be:
Revenue growth: >8% over the last 5 years. I recommend you filter to 2019, the COVID could eliminate a lot of interesting companies.
ROIC: >14%.
Market Cap: > 100MM
Sectors: I eliminate those I do not understand or cyclical (banks, insurance, biotech, automotive, commodities...).
Geographic area: The country you want to search.
In addition to this, I try to make them companies with low debt, but depending on the industry they may have some on their balance sheet, so I prefer not to include any filters. Selecting high margins does not interest me either, as there are excellent companies with low margins (Dino Polska, Walmart, Costco...).
Here is the result obtained after clicking Fetch Screen. 35 companies that would meet my requirements in Sweden.
I will now go through them one by one to see if they meet my requirements for a more exhaustive analysis later on:
Growing and steady revenues.
Growing or stable margins.
Growing and constant net profit.
Share repurchase or at least no high dilution.
That it does not distribute dividends. If it does, it should be constant.
Low debt
ROIC above 14% for several years.
If it meets the above, I skim read what the business does and if there are insiders with shares. If it makes sense to me, it is a company that can be analyzed. The average of companies that pass this first filter is about 15%.
Fundamental Analysis
Once we have decided which company we are interested in analyzing, we come to the most important part of TIKR, the fundamental analysis and all its components. The one that makes us have everything centralized to be able to perform an exhaustive and in-depth analysis. We will use Apple as an example.
Company Overview
In this tab we can see basic information to introduce the company and get a brief idea of what it does. Among other things: historical quotation, description, link to the company's website, market cap, shares in circulation...
News
In this tab we can find the latest news related to the company. Remember that although it is important to be informed, there is a lot of noise and we must filter the information between what is relevant and what is not.
Financials
In this tab we can obtain all the financial information of the company up to 15 years old: Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Ratios and recently differences by segments. Very interesting especially to see how companies behaved during these years and also to see how they suffered throughout the different crises (2008, Covid...) and that can give us a sample of their resilience.
A feature that I find very useful in TIKR and the financial information is the ability to make graphs with any type of data. This allows us to visualize different information over the years. All we have to do is click on what we want and the graph will be generated automatically.
In this case I wanted to see the evolution of sales and margins over the last 15 years.
As with all information provided by TIKR, it is up to you to filter what is of interest to you.
Valuation
In this tab we can see all the multiples at which the company is trading over several years. As we know, depending on the company and sector we are analyzing, some will be more useful than others. In this case we can see the evolution of the PER in recent years.
Another utility within this tab is to be able to see the competitors. This way we could see how they have done or even find better investment ideas.
Estimates
The next tab provides quite useful information. It gives us an idea of how much a company can grow over the years according to analysts' estimates.
Transcripts
This option seems to me a real luxury. Having the option to access the transcripts of the different annual/quarterly meetings is worth the TIKR subscription in itself.
In addition, for those of you who do not speak English, the file opens in web format, which gives us the option to right-click and translate it into Spanish (not perfect, but very good).
Filings
In the Filings tab we can access all the documents that the company is obliged to upload and make public. Clicking on the link takes us directly to the original document.
For example, Apple's latest 8-K.
Ownership
Last but not least we have the tab that gives us the set of shareholders of the company. A suggestion I will make to TIKR is to put a different color to those who are insiders, it would facilitate the visualization, although in the column on the right of all shows us what type of investor it is.
A trick I use to generate ideas (in smaller companies) is to see those funds that have shares in that company, click on that fund and we can see its portfolio. I pay special attention to those that have a relatively concentrated portfolio. 😃
I hope this short post can solve your doubts about whether or not to subscribe to TIKR. For me, there is nothing more complete in the market and less at these prices and their 50% offer until January 1, 2022. I would honestly have a hard time analyzing and generating ideas without TIKR. Simplicity is part of success in investing, in life, in work and in any field you can think of, TIKR gives us that. Also, as it grows I have no doubt that it will become a much more powerful tool.
If you liked this post and you think someone might be interested in it, feel free to share it on the following link.
Sólo quería agradecerte tu trabajo y animarte a continuar.
